Activity 7: Web Quests - Migrant Rights Campaigns
By conducting a Web quest, students will be introduced to some well-known organizations that work on migration, trade and development issues on a national, regional or international level.
Process
1. In groups, students will research ONE international and ONE Canadian organization or public body listed below.
2. They will write a brief report answering the following questions.
- What is the mission of the organization?
- Who belongs to the organization?
- What is the scope of their work - national, local, international?
- What are the goals of their campaign(s)?
- What are the key messages being communicated?
- What actions are being requested?
3. Students will present their reports to the class.
