Activity 5: Web Quest
Through this Web Quest, students will further explore barriers to basic education around the world and what is being done internationally and in Canada to support universal education.
Process
1. Divide the class into groups of four.
2. Assign each group ONE of the Web sites listed below.
3. Ask each group to research the basic education campaign(s) or program(s) being undertaken by their assigned organization.
4. Each group should submit a report answering the following questions:
- What is the mandate of the organization?
- What are the objectives of their campaign/programme?
- What barriers to education are being addressed?
- What is the proposed solution?
- Who needs to get involved to make this work?
- What kind of action can they think of to support this campaign or programme in their class or school?
